I really wanted to like this place- great location, very attractive design, seemingly reasonable rates for a higher-end hotel. Judging from the majority of positive reviews, I guess that my priorities are not the same as the primary demographic to whom Junto appeals. That being said, I was really disappointed. Housekeeping was evidently limited to re-making the beds; we went 3 days without washcloths, no vacuuming, and the shower remained dirty as did the mirrors (look at the photo-how could you miss that??) Being charged $23.50 per day āDestination Feeā -in addition to the daily room rate, taxes and fees, 45$ overnight valet parking plus tips- was a real surprise, but evidently it is for everyone. When I asked about it, the front desk handed me a card, particularly designed to explain the nature of the charge for hotel guests. It includes a charge for the Wi-Fi (which is described as āfreeā on the website and is apparently provided at no charge for all those who choose to park themselves in the public areas), in-room television (which did not work correctly and was never resolved), in-room snacks (two bags of potato chips over the course of five days), and water. According to the card, it also included a dining credit of $10 and two tickets to Cosi, neither of which we were ever told about over the course of our five day stay. The Brass Eye was nice, until they hosted a live band that sounded like it was playing in our bathroom, where we were unfortunately staying in a room one floor below. We were offered the option to change our room, but what a hassle. All in all, as a hotel guest, definitely not recommended. Much better suited as a restaurant, bar or meeting space.
